WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology is an effective natural solution for health and well-being. It is non-invasive and safe for people of all ages.
Reflexology works on a premise similar to acupressure by dividing the whole body up into zones. It is within these corresponding zones on the hands or feet that mirror the organs and glands throughout the body. For example, a tender or sore spot on your foot or hand may be a sign that there is an imbalance within the related area of your body.
Reflexologists do not diagnose health problems or prescribe medication.
Since the ligaments and tendons in our feet and hands can become sore from overuse or injury, reflexology is helpful by massaging them to ease the strain and discomfort.
Relaxation is the key to healthy well being. Having your hands or feet massaged will help reduce any immediate stress. This is the core of how reflexology works.
WHERE DID REFLEXOLOGY COME FROM?
Reflexology is not a new therapy. It has been around since ancient times. Historians have uncovered Egyptian tomb drawings depicting reflexology being given and received. Evidence of reflexology has also been discovered in India and China.

Rediscovered in the early 20th century by Dr. William Fitzgerald as "zone therapy" it was applied to induce loss of pain sensitivity during medical procedures. Eunice Ingham continued the research and mapped out the points on the feet to the corresponding organs and reflexology was reborn.
WHY REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology can help you alleviate the discomfort of symptoms from your health problems. It naturally boosts your immune system, improves circulation and can even help ease sleep disorders and depression.
The benefits of reflexology help speed up healing and return your body to its natural state of balance.
HOW DOES REFLEXOLOGY WORK?
Your reflexology session will be enhanced greatly if you are well hydrated before and after the treatment. Drinking several glasses of water helps improve the communication from your brain to the neural pathways throughout your body. The fact that your feet and hands are farthest from the heart, your circulation may be sluggish in those areas. Reflexology can ensure that blood circulates throughout your entire body, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Contact me for a relaxing session at a reasonable rate.
